Last night was our second Moms Night Out for our homeschool group... and boy did I need it. Things have been, well, busy around here lately. It seems that every time I turn around there is another event, party, or errand that needs to be done... and while I enjoy being busy, I also like breathing... and I feel that lately I have done more gasping than actual breathing.
Anyway back the moms group last night... what an amazing thing, sitting in this great little non-chain coffee bar, sipping a fozen mocha thingy of wonderfulness, and chatting about everything under the sun with some really delightful women. There is really something cool about not having to worry about talking about homeschooling (that is why we are all there for cryin' out loud), your faith, being a young person with more than one child, having three kids (and still wanting more), keeping house, NFP and NFP friendly dr.'s... the list goes on and on. Gosh, it was just what I needed to recharge my batteries.
And the icing on the tasty cake... the sweetest little 4 month old baby girl that had one of the most beautiful baby smiles I have ever seen!!!!

So I'm a little jealous of your group. Can homeschooling supporters but not practictioners be friends too? J/K! I'm so glad y'all are getting together to encourage each other.
I'm jealous of your group, too! I used to belong to the homeschooling group in our parish in Colorado and I felt good being a part of that group. I like the mothers' group here, but I will confess that it's hard to talk about deep topics like NFP and God's calling in that area of life in our little group. They're Catholic but . . . well . .. you know.
:)
I'm still hoping we can have a WOWO moms group.
