Happy feast of St. Francis Xavier! After we finished up our school work this morning we watched the CCC video: Francis Xavier and the Samurai's Lost Treasure. The boys love this movie... how could they not... there's a boy with a monkey, funny stuff, samurai, treasure... what's not to love!
Next up we made origami stars (for Japan... and St. Xavier was a missionary there). I had fun and the boys seemed to think it was fun folding and creating these decorations! This splended idea came from the lovely Advent/Christmas blog: O Night Divine!

Pigeon is loving all those shows in that series. We bought the St. Nicholas one last year so we'll be watching that one tomorrow. And I love those stars! Very lovely.
The boys really like them as well... we have several and they are always a big hit! I especially love them because they are only about 30 minutes long, and don't dominate an afternoon if they want to watch one.
They're hanging over your bar, so the shot was taken from your livingroom looking into your kitchen? Gosh, I wish I could be a regular visitor over there...sniff, sniff.
Yes, you are right on with the location. I loved them so much that I thought it would be lovely to look at while I worked on dishes or cooked. Also I thought they looked festive and Christmas-y... at least with our stuff! So they will stay up for the Advent/Christmas season. And I think the boys and I are going to work on other ornaments for the tree (smaller format of course) from the same website! Super fun :-).
