Natural Child: Any child who is not artificial.
Real Parent: Any parent who is not imaginary.
Your Own Child: Any child who is not someone else's child.
Adopted Child: A natural child, with a real parent, who is all my own.
I can't take credit for this funny yet real little set of terms, I found it on another adoption board I'm on... and I thought I would share it with others!

I like these definitions. The social work profession (of which I am a member) can sure screw up the English language, can't it?
