It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood...

would you be mine, won't you be mine...

It's 9:15 am and the temperature is 73 degrees!!!! Oh and the wind is blowing!!! Needless to say my windows are open, and I'm enjoying the remnants of Gustav that reached our area.

With this kind of weather, I might just break out all my fall stuff... oh, but if you check the forecast the rest of the week we are back in the 90's... so the apples and pumpkins will just have to wait another few weeks!

So that's where all the coolness went. I went outside to check my mail and decided to ditch my plans to run errands after lunch. Late this afternoon as I was doing the one errand I HAD to do, I passed by a few banks and a school and they all have the temp at 106 degrees. I can't believe my husband is out there doing marching drills in that kind of heat. I was yearning for fall about a week ago when it was raining and cooler everyday for 2 weeks.

Oh, my dear sister... was as a heavenly day as far as the weather was concerned!

Sorry it was so hot down south, I'm sending cooler weather prayers your direction :-).

Prayers are working. It was cooler, probably upper 90's and overcast by afternoon. It's been threatening to rain again, which beats the heat.

I live in South Louisiana, in the direct path of Hurricane Gustav and the weather has been surprisingly nice here for quite a few days but we'll be back up in the upper 90's soon. But for now we're spending all the time we can outdoors.

I'm glad you enjoyed the coolness, we did too while we were in Arkansas last week, having evacuated from the storm.
